Yesterday,
National Geographic broke the news that a planet (called "55 Cancri e") 40 light-years away (in the Cancer constellation) has a thick layer of diamond inside. DIAMOND. in a PLANET. When's the last time you heard of such a thing??
... probably in 1985, when Rainbow Brite had to save Spectra, a diamond planet, from the greedy Dark Princess, who didn't care if other planets would never receive light again. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can

If the Dark Princess was willing to force the Sprites to wrap up an entire planet for her before, I imagine that she'd do it again, especially if Rainbow Brite and Krys aren't around to get in her way!
