Again, from Entertainment Weekly. They published a list of movies everyone should see. I've bolded the ones I've seen (six of the twenty-five), and made some comments about all of them.
Up in the Air. Planning to see it, but it might not happen in time.

The Hurt Locker. Yeah, no. I don't think I'd care for it.
Precious. On my shortlist to see!
Inglourious Bastards. didn't care for it.
Invictus. nope again. not my style.
An Education. no need for stories like this in my life.
Up. delightful. but disappointing.
A Serious Man. for the most part, I hate subtitles. ergo, no go.
The Messenger. I don't do military films.
Julie & Julia. Loathed the ending. there were a bunch of parts I didn't care for. But overall, nice. I don't really want to see it winning any major award tho, LoL.
A Single Man. just doesn't sound interesting.
Crazy Heart. I don't do country music or alcoholics.
The Blind Side. I've been wanting to see this for SO LONG. I came close twice, but haven't seen it yet!
The Last Station. boo.to.Russian.biographies.
Nine. I think this one will have to wait until it's on DVD.
Star Trek. strangely enough, this is the only one on the list I saw the day it came out. not strange that I didn't catch any of the others that soon, but strange that I saw this one at all, let alone so soon in its run!
District 9. nope. I don't do aliens. or gore.
Fantastic Mr. Fox. I feel like I've been waiting a year to see this. but I haven't yet.
The Lovely Bones. Yeah, no. the plot just goes right by me.
(500) Days of Summer. this was nowhere near as good as it was made out to be. I kinda hated it, almost.
It's Complicated. mixed on this one. At first I didn't, then I did, now I'm ambivalent. we'll see how it goes, I guess.
The Young Victor. It's also hard to sell me on films dealing with royalty.
Bright Star. I don't see this one happening. bleh.
The Informant! maybe. it probably has the best odds of the films I'm not already planning on seeing.
