average episodes this week

by Amy K. Bredemeyer

Friday:
Miami Medical (S01E04):
Were they the lowest floor that had a balcony? I just thought it looked weird that they fell so far and not onto the balcony directly below them. The difference between this show and ER is that the medical jargon used by the doctors isn't used so quickly and surely... but this is good since it's more believable that they want the patient to understand what's going on... another plus to this show and its clear dedication to humanitarianism. Why did the guy who was cleaning the pool get brought in so much later than the couple who fell?? How come the wife knew that dialysis could cause her to lose her adopted child but the husband had no inkling of that? [May 21 is the first season's finale already!]

Sunday:
Minute to Win It
(Season 1, Week 7): Starts off with last week's firefighter.
Game 7: Double Trouble: hold two ping pong balls in one hand... bounce them on a table and make each land in a different glass (side-by-side). Out of all of his tries in his first attempt, only one ball ever went in. On the second go-round, he had two in one cup, one in another, but never at the same time so he dropped from $75k to $50k.
Contestant #2: Pro-Volleyball player.
Game 1: Sticky Balls: get the five marbles to stick to the tape after rolling them. He does it.
Game 2: How's it Hangin': Tie a banana by a string around your waist. Swing it to roll two oranges over into a hula hoop. This is a weird event, if you ask me. He had a hard time getting it over the rim of the hoop both times. In fact, he doesn't finish the second one in time. On the second try, he has the same problems, and in fact the first one goes in with only 10 seconds left to do the second. Nope. He tries again with his last life, but doesn't make it (but again comes close).
Contestant #3: Kindergarten teacher. She kept a scrunchy on her ankle...
Game 1: Nose Dive: using petroleum jelly on your nose, transfer 5 cotton balls from one bowl to another. This is a hard one, and the best time previously was 58 seconds. She did it in 38 seconds, so excellent!
Game 2: Face the Cookie: put a cookie on your forehead and get it into your mouth. Do it twice. 43 seconds was the old record. She gets it in 52 seconds.
Game 3: Magic Carpet Ride: turn a bathmat into a mode of transportation by scrunching and releasing. Don't touch the floor. Make it through an obstacle course in 60 seconds. It looks pretty hard, actually. The obstacles are weaving through a few poles, and she does really well at this. She finishes with 31 seconds left. This impresses me!
Game 4: Paper Dragon: Swinging your arms, unravel the streamers (500 feet in each arm). She had a great start, but was reallllly struggling toward the end. She made it though, with 8 seconds to go.
Game 5: Candy Elevator: Put the candies on two pencils and loop strings over your ears that attach to the pencils. Raise the pencils up and get the candies in your mouth. I kinda thought she'd be good at this one, being a primary teacher and all. She started off nice and slow (and put her hair up again, LoL), but her elevator became un-level when she readjusted her hands, and the candies fell off. On her second try she was afraid to move her hands too much once her arms were straightened, so she ran out of time. On her third try she was doing so well, but one of the candies fell off when she put the others into her mouth. Out!

The Simpsons (S21E19): I liked Lisa's solo this time. I also liked the couch gag, although generally I don't these long ones. Interesting wind power thing. Why was Lenny answering the phone at the electric company? Being hit with a wii controller sucks... Weird for Bart and Lisa. hahahahahahahahahaha "fan club." Why are Lisa and Bart driving?? The whole beached whale thing was boring. The swimming-in-the-stars part made it slightly better, LoL. OOOOOOMG what the hell with that blowing-up of the whale??!??!? Funny joke by the comic books guy tho. The invisible job chasing the car was also funny. Really, this episode as a whole was kinda crappy. [May 23 is the season finale]

Family Guy (S08Exx): not this week. [May 23 is the season finale]

Monday:
How I Met Your Mother (S05Exx): not this week. [May 24 is the season finale]

House, M.D. (S06E19): Talk about an open marriage!! I still can't get over Chase being a part of this "new" team... even though I have no problem with Foreman being in it. Thirteen is pretty smart to House's logic these days. I forgot that Wilson received his divorce papers from this wife when he was at that conference in New Orleans. Chase looked the most shocked at Taub's announcement of trying an open marriage himself. But the Emmy of the episode goes to Taub's wife in the parking garage. I was not impressed with Thirteen's reaction to Taub not cheating on his wife. Similarly, my jaw dropped when Taub kisses the girl at the end and then proceeds to go with her "someplace" !!! [May 17 will be the finale this season]

Little People, Big World (S05E27 & S05E28): No more Europe. :( (but I think we'll be there again next week, LoL.) Matt made a reference to a Christmas list, so I'm not sure what time of year it is now. It doesn't look really cold out, tho. Jeremy doesn't even have a shirt on. Matt really has a lot of work to do when getting into that Caterpillar thing. I thought it was interesting that Matt justified his crazy ways by saying "I could be one of those husbands that never gets off the couch and just watches sports all day," LoL. We didn't see much of the kids this episode. I didn't realize that Matt & Amy were their show's producers.

Dwarf games are in two months... "I need to know by February 20th" um, when is it now?? Interesting conflict where Matt wanted to take the team to Ireland independently and Amy thought it should be done through DAAA. Why did the commercials try to make a big deal out of Zach's soccer rival coming by with a driver? LoL. Interesting that someone who has known the family as an outsider for years noticed the amount of arguing between Matt & Amy rather quickly. I'm curious as to how moral Matt thought he was being when he wanted to pull independence from DAAA. I also don't think Matt was super-caring about Amy having to step down from the DAAA Board, which was a position that she regarded highly. "Can I eat with you?" kinda looked like Matt normally doesn't eat with everyone else, and that's kinda sad.

Tuesday:
Table for 12: nope. I don't understand why we saw one episode from the new season and now nothing. :(

missing the eps "summer," "busy day," "jumping in," "brace yourself," "back to school"

19 Kids and Counting (S04E13): I liked JimBob's intro in the woods. It's nice that they are doing something 10 years later, so some kids are doing it again, but most are getting to experience something that "Round 1" got to do. Pinnacle Mountain. Why is the van red? Jennifer trying to say "bug club" was interesting. I was surprised that NONE of the older girls participated in the camouflage game. I would've thought Jinger might have. 3 pounds 12 oz is baby Josie now, and it's her due date, so we're looking at a film date of around March 18th. The girls should have worn something besides flip-flops, and I think they knew this. I also thought they should have carried some water bottles with them. Overall, I thought that this episode was one of the most boring ever.

Wednesday:
South Park (S14E07): I'm never a big Towelie fan. But, I guess it's about time they had an intervention for him, LoL. 2,000 cans of computer duster a day is crazy funny. Cartman making fun of Kyle instead of addressing Towelie was funny. ...and that's all I have to say about that.
