Fun Friday: Sheldon's Friendship Algorithm

by Amy K. Bredemeyer

Sometime between February and May I watched a lot of The Big Bang Theory. You might even say that I fell in love with the show. Leonard is my favorite character, but Sheldon is a close second! The S02E13 episode of The Big Bang Theory is called "The Friendship Algorithm," named after the process Sheldon develops (but Howard edits!) to make new friends. When I watched this episode, I was really intrigued and wanted to see the flowchart again, and I got lucky! ThinkGeek has actually made it a shirt! While I don't regularly spend $18 on a t-shirt, this one sure caught my eye! If I catch it going on sale, I might have to indulge... just think of how perfect it would have been at the Comic-Con panel! Now, it's not perfect methodology (take it from someone who goes to a lot of Meetups!), but it's pretty entertaining, particularly if your familiar with why Howard needed to add the "N>6?" part! I've copied the design over, but definitely thank ThinkGeek for the brilliance to replicate this one!
