2 Broke Girls: Caroline and Max Meet Candy Andy

by Amy K. Bredemeyer

I found it a little adorable that Earl thought the router was a cookie-warmer. Of course, I was a bit surprised that the diner even offered free wi-fi, but I guess it's becoming the norm regardless of where you are! Also, has the diner always served cocktails? I somehow don't remember this... All of that aside, this was an interesting episode. I particularly loved the music and the fact that we have not only a potential recurring character (especially for Caroline!) but also a fun little new locale. I'll call it a #win!

2 Broke Girls "And the Candy Manwich" (S02E06): Caroline's having a rough time so Max decides to take her to lunch... at a soup kitchen. [I loved how Caroline pronounced "Duane Reade"! and the line about nuns being sarcastic.] The sloppy joes are terrible-amazing, but mixed with whatever Max brought in her flask might be a little rough on the stomach. See, the ladies follow a cute guy across the way into a candy shoppe, where Caroline promptly vomits while Max enjoys listening to "Pure Imagination" from Willy Wonka and scoring some freebies from Candy Andy. [Candrew Andrew was hilarious! but I was a bit surprised that Max enjoyed the alphabetical order so wonderful.]

Andy invites the girls to a party but Caroline is upset about her awkward moment earlier. ["unlimited candy for you for the rest of your life"?? based on...?] Max goes anyway and decides to bring him back to surprise Caroline when she learns that he used to be a stock trader but the company went under so he used his savings to open the store. Except... Caroline's in the tub pleasuring herself, causing a much more horrifying embarrassing moment! [laughing at both "I think you should probably pay more than half of our water bill." and the "feeling bad for yourself" vs "feeling your bad self."] Andy goes to the diner to try embarrassing himself in front of Caroline... and when it doesn't work, he even invites her to go back to his house and watch him m@sturb@te. [this had me in stitches.]

Non-candy-related, Sophie arrives at the diner that night and scoots people out of "her booth" on demand, though it makes Han angry. [really, we're cheering when SOPHIE walks in now?? she's the new Kramer?] Another time, Han tries to get Sophie to sit at a small table, but she scares people out of a different booth and takes that one. [haha!]

Cupcakery Savings Total: $1128.00 [at least it didn't go up for no reason!]
